| Abstract | Wide practice variation exists in the management of hyperbilirubinemia in preterm infants less than 35 weeks gestational age. Current clinical practice recommendations are consensus based and rely on expert interpretation of evidence, but would benefit from independent validation. Premie BiliRecs is a new, web-based CDS tool for the management of hyperbilirubinemia in moderately preterm infants less than 35 weeks GA. It operationalizes and automates current expert consensus-based guidelines,1,11 and through EMR integration provides a platform for generation of new practice-based evidence to inform future guidelines. |
