Abstract | The major users of spreadsheet programs have been business types [sic], because these programs first revolutionized budgeting and financial projections. In fact, some give VisiCalc the credit for Apple's early success. At one time, 80% of all Apple II computers were bought for the purpose of running VisiCalc. Spreadsheets can be useful for the budgeting process in a medical practice; they can also assist clinical and administrative efforts within a practice. In this report I will describe a number of such applications using one off-the-shelf spreadsheet program [Microsoft Multiplan]. |
