| Abstract | A software programme for a neonatal data base and to obtain automated discharge summaries was developed. With this programme the entry of data from a single case sheet and the printing of a discharge summary took less than five minutes. Detailed summary statistics and selective clinical data for research were easily retrievable. The system is effective, easy to operate, and easy to expand. |
