| Abstract | A transportable computerised measurement equipment for immediate bedside determination of lung mechanical data in spontaneous breathing neonates is described. The necessary expenditure for determination of lung mechanical data is considerably reduced by use of a computer. We use esophageal pressure and flow of breathing for the calculation of 10 lung mechanical data by microcomputer K1520. Measurement technique, computing technique and programme-system with its possibilities for calculation, storage, output, and graphically display of lung mechanical data are presented. |
