| Abstract | Description of an automated care system used on 2750 patients between July 1967 and July 1973. The system was written in Fortran and based on an IBM 1800 with 32 K words of 2 microsecond core memory, 1024 K words of disk storage, 9 data channels, card reader/punch, line printer, and keyboard/typewriter. Various calculations e.g. cardiac index. Closed-loop control of blood infusions. |
