Who we are:
We are a division of 13 neonatologists, 6 fellows, and 20 Advanced Practice Providers.
A full complement of ancillary staff including excellent administrative support, social workers, dieticians, NICU respiratory therapists, a care coordinator, a child life specialist, neuropsychologists, PT/OT/Speech Therapists, and other nursing support.
We have a 56-bed 36,000 sq. ft. Level IV NICU with a hybrid bed structure (27 single rooms, 4 twin rooms, 1 triplet room, and 3 six-bedded open bay pods) within the Children’s Hospital.
We have an active ECMO program, a busy NICU Neurodevelopmental follow-up clinic, and a Small Baby Unit.
We use all modes of ventilation including high-frequency jet and oscillator, PSV/VG, invasive and non-invasive NAVA, bubble CPAP, and high-flow nasal cannula. We do whole body therapeutic hypothermia and have 24/7 pediatric surgery and pediatric cardiovascular coverage. We have an active transport team and provide therapeutic hypothermia during transport.
We are involved in clinical and bench research: neonatal pulmonary disease, genetics of surfactant A protein, neonatal abstinence syndrome, neonatal hypoglycemia, bronchopulmonary dysplasia, sepsis, neonatal genetics, among many other projects.
We have easy access to Pediatric Clinical Research Office research nurses, coordinators, and IRB- and regulatory specialists, as well as biostatisticians.
We participate in the Vermont Oxford Network and are involved in many multicenter clinical trials.
What we’re seeking:
BC/BE in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine.
MD, DO, or foreign equivalent.
Ability to acquire a license to practice in the State of Pennsylvania.
