The NICU at Kaiser Permanente Modesto is a California Children’s Services (CCS) certified community level 3 NICU with 24 beds. We offer level 3 care in our NICU including high frequency ventilation, nitric oxide therapy, and ROP laser surgery. We have a full complement of pediatric subspecialists available 24 hours a day via telemedicine or some are on site. Babies requiring cardiothoracic surgery or ECMO are referred outside of the Kaiser Permanente network. There are ~4000 deliveries per year in our L&D. Our NICU average daily census is 13, with peak season which is around summer of 15-20 ADC.
Our department consists of 5 neonatologists and 9 Pediatric Hospitalists. As a group we provide care to the NICU, labor and delivery, and newborn nursery. We also have many opportunities to do rewarding committee and QI project work.
Full-time annual salary range is $285,587 to $294,420 plus additional potential incentives up to $43,000*. Reduced schedules with pro-rated compensation may be available. *Some incentive opportunities are estimates based on potential premium pay.
SANTA CLARA NEONATOLOGY - FULL TIME
ALL POSITIONS REQUIRE:
Completion of an accredited fellowship program in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Certified by the American Board of Pediatrics in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine or eligible for board certification and expected to be certified within 3 years of hire.
Active unrestricted California Medical License
Physician empanelment in CCS (California Children’s Services) as a neonatologist
Neonatal resuscitation program certification
