Opportunity Highlights
Level III, 18-bed NICU
Affiliated with the UT System and UT Southwestern
On-campus residency program
Approximately 140 deliveries per month
Collaborative 2-physician care model
In-house NNP coverage
Responsibilities
Provide comprehensive medical care to newborns in a Level III NICU, including premature and critically ill infants
Attend high-risk deliveries and perform neonatal resuscitation as indicated
Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of neonatal conditions
Perform neonatal procedures within scope of practice
Collaborate with NNPs, pediatricians, nursing staff, and interdisciplinary team members
Communicate effectively with families regarding clinical status and treatment plans
Document patient care accurately and in compliance with regulatory standards
Participate in shared call coverage and team-based responsibilities
Ideal Candidate
Board-Certified or Board-Eligible in Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine
Strong clinical expertise in NICU care
Commitment to collaborative, team-based practice
Excellent communication and leadership skills
Dedication to high-quality, evidence-based medicine
