The Yale University School of Medicine Department of Pediatrics, Division of Neonatal-Perinatal Medicine, is seeking a full-time neonatologist on the clinical track at the Assistant, Associate or Full Professor level, to serve as Medical Director for the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital in New London, CT. This is a 13 bed NICU staffed by 3 neonatologists, with night and weekend in-house support provided by Yale faculty hospitalists. The NICU at Lawrence and Memorial provides medical care, including ventilatory support, for newborns 28 weeks and above, and supports an active delivery service. In addition to clinical and administrative duties at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital, the position may also involve clinical time in the level IV NICU at Yale-New Haven Children’s Hospital in New Haven, Connecticut. There would be ample time allotted for the right candidate to pursue additional academic activities as desired.

New London County offers beautiful shoreline, outstanding public schools, and wonderful cultural and recreational activities, with easy access to Cape Cod, Newport, Boston, and New York City. The ideal candidate will have at least 5 years’ clinical experience in neonatology, be skilled at all procedures in neonatology, and have excellent leadership and interpersonal skills.

Requirements include board certification in neonatology.
