Incubator Baby Rally

These cabinet photos, discovered on eBay, appear to show an incubator baby reunion or rally ca. 1900-1909. The location is presumed to be downtown New York City, but the seller did not know any further details. It has been speculated that this gathering was part of the “Hudson-Fulton Celebration” that occurred in New York and New Jersey in 1909. If you can place these photos at a time and place or provide any other details about them, please email webmaster@neonatology.net.

There does not appear to be a connection with Dr. Alexandre Lion’s storefront incubator baby exhibit that opened in 1897. There may be a connection with Martin Couney’s exhibit at Luna Park on Coney Island, which opened in 1903, or the Dreamland exhibit which opened in 1904. Google Image Search has not found any matches in other web sites or image vendors.
