Clermont-Ferrand Exposition du Centre de la France, 1910

The Exposition du Centre de la France took place during the summer and fall of 1910, closing in November. It was held in the Place Gambetta near the center of Clermont-Ferrand, still used today as a location for carnivals, fairs, sporting events, and flea marks. This appears to have been primarily a Colonial Exhibition with villages (and villagers) from the Sudan, the Congo, and Senegal, although there was also a sizeable art pavilion. I have found very little information about this exposition on-line, but we know that Alexandre Lion had a pavilion there. His typical incubator postcards are still easily found on eBay, and a somewhat rarer postcard shows the actual pavilion.
